Recently Iceland based event and exhibition consultants Recon used the T3 system to create a large and inviting exhibition stand for Meet in Reykjavik at the IMEX exhibition held in Frankfurt, Germany.

IMEX is a worldwide exhibition for planners looking to book and organise worldwide meetings, events and incentive travel programmes. With Meet in Reykjavik being the official convention bureau in Iceland for Reykjavik and the surrounding areas.

Recon used the UK manufactured T3 modular display system to create an exhibition stand that would entice visitors to host their next meetings and events in Reykjavik and the surrounding areas.

Philippe van Ameyde, Sales Director at T3 commented, “Recon is the trusted provider of exhibition stands for Meet in Reykjavik and they continue to design and deliver exceptional results for their client. They have a great understanding of T3 and Wandlite and how these products can be used to the greatest effect. We are always impressed with what they produce and that they continue to evolve with us. “

Covering a floor space of 50 square metres, the design consisted of a massive six-metre-high T3 light wall and adjourning storage room for staff of Meet in Reykjavik to store all their goods. The large back wall showcased a beautiful landscape of Reykjavik.

To make the graphic really stand out to the public it was illuminated using the revolutionary Wandlite LED tube. In total 72 x 1250 mm Wandlites were used to backlight the 6-metre wall. The Wandlite boasts benefits such as being virtually unbreakable, easily powered and environmentally friendly because of its low power usage. All these benefits make it ideal for exhibition display designers.

The design brief also called for a variety of display monitors to be included into the back wall and storage room. These were used to broadcast promotional videos created visitors to the exhibition.

Recon integrated these monitors fantastically using T3 monitor support hooks for the display on the light wall and internal supports for the monitor in the storage room. Showcasing the different methods for including the multimedia into your display with T3.

The entire stand was constructed in two days by two members of the Recon team without the use of tools or levers including the mounting or monitors, graphics and lighting.

Adalsteinn Sverrison, Managing Director of Recon said, “Our client Meet in Reykjavik does a lot of shows all around Europe so keeping logistics costs low and build up times short are always crucial factors for us. With T3 we are able to solve both of those problems easily due to lightweight and modular design.”
